Deutsche Post
Deutsche Post is a part of the DHL Group, a global logistics company. It's an international provider of postal services, delivering around 61 million letters per business day in Germany. Deutsche Post covers the entire postal value chain, with manufacturing facilities located on four continents and sales offices and production centers at central hubs.
Formerly a state monopoly, Deutsche Post still offers a range of traditional postal services under its brand name. However, since January 1, 2008, it no longer has the exclusive right to deliver letters weighing less than 50 grams in Germany, following the implementation of European law. Other companies, such as Luxembourg's PIN Group and Dutch TNT Post, have emerged to compete with Deutsche Post in letter delivery. In 2002, Deutsche Post even obtained a license to deliver mail in the United Kingdom, challenging the long-standing monopoly of Royal Mail.
